A New Situation

Its January in Ponyville. Snow began blanketing the ground and all the fillies (and Pinkie Pie) are spending their time playing in the newly fallen snow. Akio was fixing the shelves in the pawn shop and cleaning Ed+’s office. Akio cleaned his office because the day before was Ed’s birthday and he wanted to do this for him. Akio was using his magic to sweep when the bells on the door rang. Before Akio could turn, Ed+ pushed him into the office and locked the door.
“What in Celestia’s name is-”
“SHH!” Ed said, putting his hoof in front of Akio’s mouth. “I’m hiding from her!” Akio looked out of the doors window to see Sweetie Belle.
“You’re kidding, right?” Akio said. He opened the door and walked out. “What can I do for you, Sweetie Belle?”
“Have you seen Ed+? I need to find him!” She said with a huge smile on her face.
“I… uh haven’t. Can I take a message?” Akio said.
“Can you say his girlfriend came here!”
“Uh… girlfriend?” Akio was completely puzzled.
“Yeah! Well, just tell him that. Thank you!” She happily walked out of the store.
When she was out of sight, Ed+ came out of his office
“OK, I get the picture.” Akio said, not even turning to Ed+.
“She’s driving me crazy and because of her, Twilight and Fluttershy broke up with me!” Ed+ said, becoming angry. “I don’t know what to do now. You’re a mare-” Akio turned and gave him an annoyed look. “well, naturally a mare at least. You probably know how other mares work with that advantage.”
“Ed, my identity was changed years ago, before I ever felt any attraction to anypony. If you want, I can take you to ask my sister. I have to go pick up Autumn Oak, anyhow.” Akio offered, still annoyed. Since the florist’s closed for winter, Sweet Pea’s been home getting ready to go to college in Fillydelphia. They took turns watching Autumn Oak during the day.
“Fine. It’s something to help me get Twilight and Fluttershy back. Let’s go.” Ed+ said, walking out the door of the shop.
